"An Autumn Encounter" was created by Ms. Barb using India ink and the meticulous stippling technique.
The scene depicts a peaceful stretch of pastureland in Upstate New York, based on a photograph she captured in the early 1980s.
To complete the composition, Ms. Barb selected a 10-point buck from other reference photos and carefully transposed it into the setting, making it the central focus of this nostalgic work of art.
